Everybody who didn't make it to Saturday's "Dodgeball Wod" missed out on a GREAT TIME!
There is something cathartic about repeatedly pegging Mike Alley, the guy who plans our daily torture, with those balls - no matter how soft. I sacrificed myself over and over to focus solely on this mission - and I did get satisfaction more than once! That's 10 Burpees or 15 Pushups or 20 Step-ups or 5 of everything Mike Alley! Congratulations to Daniel Hartmann who's clever Strategery won the game - even when he was outgunned 4 to 1 (Daniel's plan was to gather ALL the balls at one time, to remove any threat...very effective!)

I also want to thank Mike and Katrina for volunteering Sunday morning (at 6:30 am) at the Chattanooga Community Kitchen. For almost 9 years I have hosted the 3rd Sunday breakfast for this local charity. It's a monthly event that I have had the opportunity to share with friends and family since 1999. We have a regular team of volunteers that provide, cook, serve and clean up for about 100 people each month. It has been a blessing for me, and something I love to share. I mentioned it at breakfast on Saturday, and to my great suprise, and pleasure, Mike and Katrina showed up Sunday morning to participate. I certainly appreciate that you guys came - it says A LOT about the kind of people you are. I hope you enjoyed your morning - you made it a great day for people that have so much less, you are good people. It reinforces to me that I am in the right place at Get Built.
Thanks for being a part of this ongoing effort!

It looks like I won't be able to make it today, first day of school and trying to get the whole scheduling thing worked out. Would it work to sub HSPU for the thrusters?

Casey, every ten minutes you should get out of your seat and execute 50 burpees(for time). If the professor ax what you doin' tell her/him you dropped your pencil. In a 1 hour class, you should get in aprox. 300 burpees, roughly 6 minutes and 2000 watts.

dbl, mike's alright. now that Katrina she's special.

Yann, I forgot to mention that it is a 2 and a half hour class so it would be 750 burpees and 5000 watts. Plus it would give me a chance to show all the ladies in the class my chesticles, or lack thereof

Prodigal CrossFitter Perry Howard returned to the box today sporting some new hardware. Congrats to Perry for earning his Air Assault wings at Air Assault School! Here's hoping that you never have to put those skills into practice in a live fire setting. Good to have you back. Hope to have you sweating again soon.
