Buying a new house this week. God, this is awful. I would rather do 100 burpees a day than deal with this. Will be there when I can. May be next week!!

Tape those hands!!!!

I hate for the hands to be what holds me back, but I've had a block on pull-ups ever since we moved to the new box
I kinda broke it today - at the expense of my poor, wrecked skinless palms. they were so covered in chalk I couldn't see what was happening to them, so my advice to pm'ers is to tape as Marc said, and/or quit before the hands completely bust - even typing this hurts...

Screw that. I'm thinking dead hangs.

12 rounds completed (PR). Only a little better than my dead-hang PR... but the hands are intact!

Nothing like the lingering sense of dread (all day long) for a workout that you know you're going to suck at. Can't wait!

proper hand hygiene will usually prevent tearing. keep your calluses shaved off or minimal. chalk helps, as does minimizing torque on your hands by making a more vertical pull and less horizontal swinging (also a more efficient pullup and faster cycle time, for those looking to shorten their fran). that being said, here is a great blog post on how to tape your hands properly (ie--looping around the palm over and over and over again will never work and will almost always lead to mid-wod frustration) http://rifsblog.blogspot.com/2007/05/how-to-tape-your-hands.html
