What initially drew you to CrossFit?
I was tired of having to dedicate up to an hour and a half of my day to getting in an out of a gym. CrossFit seemed like a way to get the most bang for the little time I wanted to put into exercise. I also had a terrible diet and thought this would be a decent way to at least neutralize the effects. Clever.
The number one value of Crossfit and Get Built to me is that it makes me want to workout. It makes me want to eat right. Simply put, now I want to be healthy. Before it was just something I knew I needed to do, but didn't really want to do it. The combination of an intense workout, the deep camaraderie and support of the group, and the measurable and consistent performance gains creates an environment where I want to be. Part of achieving goals is surrounding yourself with people that share the same. Get Built Chattanooga provides just that.
I've seen a tremendous amount of strength and endurance gains. Since I started Crossfit in January of '08, I've gone from about 14% body fat to just a hair above 9%, which equates to about 25lbs of fat loss, a result that can be attributed to nothing less than a lifestyle change in terms of my diet and exercise. I've also been able to rekindle my childhood love of cycling and have actually done quite well in a couple of local mountain bike races.

Quit making excuses for why you can't. Just get in there and do the work and you will see the results.
